Can you see no-face?
Another picture took in Chinzansô garden (I went there twice, it was such a wonderful place). When I showed this picture to my friend he was like “do you see kaonashi?”
I loved Miyazaki's “Spirited Away” (le voyage de Chihiro in French, 千と千尋の神隠しSen to chihiro no kamikakushi in Japanese) and indeed this red traditional japanese bridge is really looking like a door to another world, the world of the spirits!
And funny thing, thinking about it now I remember when I was in university one of our teacher told us about this film, and pointed the meaning of the word used to express the missing of a child, it's “kamikakushi” which mean litteraly hidden by the spirits, by the kami (it's pretty close to the spirited away used in English, in French the words we used are quite different and don't carry this aspect.)
